This n' that and Xavier Rudd

Yesterday Coops, aka Adam, came to pick me up at the hostel. We had a quick beer at the backpacker partyspot Scubar, before we headed to the Central Station, to catch the train to Newtown, where the concert venue is.
Newtown seems to be a slightly bohemic, cool place, a little rough in the edges, but nice. The venue was perfect for music, big enough to have that great sound, small enough to give an intimate feeling to the gig.

THe trains here have two levels btw. Pretty cool. And Adam had a T-shirt he got for free from the beloved Jagermeister people. Wonder why me, sara and lisa never got one?

Waiting for the concert in the foyer bar.

Xavier Rudd is a humanity/environmental-friendly, talented musician, not only does he have a sensational voice, he also plays the didgeridoo and drums and guitar while singing, proving the theory of men and multitasking wrong... He's got very devoted fans and it didn't take long for the whole crowd to dance madly.

He reminds me of the "Lost"-guy a little.

(Shiny happy people pose)
After the concert we made a pitstop at a bar near the trainstation, cause same as in Stockholm, it get's pretty crowded when everyone's going back. At the bar Adam met a friend, Joel, and his girlfriend Carly. Joel is a friend that he apparently never has met other than randomly, about once a year. How they keep their friendship alive is a riddle, but it was suggested that Adam has a man-crush on Joel (and Xavier Rudd).
We ended up having a really good time, and were also invited to Joel's farewell-party tonight, since he's going to NYC.
I'm leaving tomorrow though, so I'll stay in tonight.

(All along the Watchtower-pose)

So, this is my last day in Australia, for now.
I had a bit of a scare when checking my bank accounts. I have spent way too much money here, probably making a big contribution to the BNP of Oz. Not sure how to pull it off, but at least I had fun here. Luckily Thailand is a cheap country...

Over and out!
